What Makes Bentos Catering & Bentos Bites Different?
Vegan or vegetarian? We know all the limitations, and we know how to work around them and still get you something that tastes great. Gluten-free, dairy-free or nut-free? Yep, we’ve got that. Options that won’t ruin your diet, from Paleo to keto? We’re more than ready. We sanitize thoroughly, allow no cross-contamination in our kitchen and make sure it’s clear, when the food arrives, which meal is meant for which person.
We have our own private commercial kitchen, and we prepare everything from scratch there – salad dressing, teriyaki sauce, marinara, ranch, Thai peanut sauce and much more! We’re creating healthful meals and snacks that serve everyone. When you work with Bentos, you don’t have to worry about:

The Brains Behind the Bentos
Bentos Catering was founded in April 2015 by Shannon Bowman, inspired by her extensive personal history of overcoming the dietary limitations of her two sons with autism.
In working around her boys’ dietary needs, Shannon discovered a joy for food and the complexity of what goes into it, finding herself making more and more items from scratch. That experience, combined with her love of cooking for and serving others cultivated by years of volunteer work, as well as restaurant work, led her to explore the world of catering.
Lunch was – and still is! – Shannon’s favorite meal of the day. She figured someone could surely do a better job of providing corporate lunch catering, and there was no reason that person couldn’t be her. Inspired by the bento lunch tradition in Japan, Bentos Catering was born. Bentos Bites soon followed as a snack-centric alternative, giving clients an easy means of keeping their on-site snacks stocked (and, of course, healthful).
